Launched December 8, 2010, the Green Alpha Next Economy Technologies Portfolio seeks to maximize return from green
equity investing by selecting companies from the Green Alpha research universe
with the highest growth potential in the Next Economy. Rather than investing in
the entire representative basket of the Next Economy, as with the GANEX, or in a screened and selected subset of the green economy as with the Sierra Club Green Alpha Portfolio, the Next Economy Technologies Portfolio is an actively managed group of companies of a kind whose business models and technologies will be required to run the 21st century. This list of companies includes some that may not necessarily be traditionally defined as green or cleantech. This requires an ongoing, careful review of political, social, environmental and macro-economic trends combined with the fastidious quantitative methods of securities analysis applied to our other portfolios.
